PalaeoWISE is a database of palaeoclimate proxies of relevance to Australia’s hydroclimate. Croke et al. 2021 (DOI).

Data usage notes:

We recommend users refer to Croke et al., 2021 for a full explanation of PalaeoWISE prior to downloading.   

The link below will download a zipped package that contains all files associated with PalaeoWISE. All file contents are described in README.txt. The file contents are the same as that available from the journal data repository. 

For users primarily interested in the proxy records but unfamiliar with the lipid file structure, we suggest starting with ‘Lipd_guide.html’ for instructions and examples about reading LiPD files and basic manipulation. File ‘Lipd_guide.Rmd’, a Markdown file with instructions and examples about reading and manipulating LiPD files, can then be used to interact with the data in PalaeoWISE directly.
